WHAT WE DO

 

Nonprofit Sector Foundation is working with local charities to create jobs. 

​

We envision a world where philanthropy is widely used to help nonprofits fill growing community needs. We see vibrant communities that are helpful, abundant and happy. People are healthy, financially stable and have thriving families.

​

According to the California State Unemployment Department, as of June 2016 there's over 200,000 people out of work in the Inland Empire (Riverside and San Bernardino counties in California).

That's a lot of jobs to fill.

​

There's roughly 10,000 nonprofits in the Inland Empire (IE). If each one hired 10 people each, then we can close the unemployment gap in half

by 100,000 jobs! 

​

Helping 10,000 nonprofits is a HUGE job and we need YOUR HELP to do it.  

 

Your help will provide:

• the creation of at least 40 jobs in the Inland Empire this year

• our Nonprofit Affiliates with assistance raising funds and with overall business management 

• job seekers with a tuition-free, six-week training program consisting of career development, job readiness and job matching for Riverside and San Bernardino County residents 

• the opportunity to “give back” to the community 

• help to strengthen the nonprofit sector
